Klear’s growing staff consists of professional individuals from varied personal
and professional backgrounds. While our shared interests towards high-calibur
game design and production guide our efforts, our environment is greatly enriched
by the diversity of our backgrounds and interests. Across the board, the people
at Klear are passionate about gaming, and believe in the mission of producing
the best gaming experience for our audience, and the best value for our clients.
Klear Founders
David Adams
President of Klear Games, David is an Electrical Engineer by degree. He has
held numerous management and development positions in the fifteen years since
graduating from Harvard
University, including directing the technical teams at several design, multi-media,
and Internet companies. David began his career as a special projects manager
and network engineer at SBC (formerly Southwestern Bell), but his passion for
innovation inevitably caused him to migrate from corporate to entrepreneurial
interests. As an application developer, David is proficient in multiple operating
systems, programming languages, development methodologies and development environments
and has led the development of over thirty internet, database, multi-media and
gaming applications. As an executive, he has launched four successful ventures,
led numerous multi-disciplinary teams and managed offices of up to 60 people.
Following the January 2000 acquisition of his previous company, Big Theory LLC,
by a publicly traded Internet consultancy, David decided to move his life and
career in a new direction. He combined his passion for gaming and his entrepreneurial
spirit in a new endeavor, and teaming with a few like-minded compatriots, Klear
Games was formed.
Darcy Brown
As Klear’s Technical Director, Darcy's background comes in many shapes and
from many disciplines. From network administration to enterprise system development,
from web, multimedia and desktop development to mobile gaming developer and,
of course, he's a hard core gamer. Darcy most recently comes from a Senior Consultant
position within the eBusiness department of Hilton
Corporation. He has worked with small and large teams on numerous enterprise
systems, led teams, architected large scale projects, and even helped out when
his aunt's printer wouldn't work. During his spare time, Darcy likes to camp
in the desert, ski in
the mountains and kayak
anywhere there is enough water.
Charles Grant
A proud native of the Lone Star State, Charles serves as the Art Lead of Klear
Games. Majoring in Fine Arts at Stephen
F. Austin State University, he has spent the 7 years prior to founding Klear
Games as a Graphic Designer, Art Director in Ad Agencies and Design Studios
in and around the Dallas area. Charles has been effective in everything from
the concept and deployment of commercial websites, national advertising campaigns,
brand development and application interface design. With a keen sense of aesthetics
and an immense creative drive, he is finding this late bloom into game design
and development the perfect evolution to an already diverse and rewarding career
- quite a path for a kid that just liked to sit around and draw. When not pushing
pixels on our latest creation, you can find Charles traveling the world, the
'World of Warcraft'
that is. Long live the Horde!
Walker Hale IV
Klear's own quality zealot, Walker got his bachelor's at Rice
University in Physics and applied Math before doing a few years of graduate
Physics where he picked up most of his programming skills as well as a more
advanced grounding in Math. He then went on to take progressively more computer-related
jobs including helping to develop a set of transition plug-ins, building a hyperspectral
scanner (whatever that is), and building and programming a robotic
system to produce arrays
of DNA on glass slides (microarrays).
The system worked so well that soon he was giving seminars on ways to analyze
the massive amounts of data and writing software to manage that data.
