After configuring your network game, you must wait at this screen for the remote players to connect before starting the contest.  While waiting, you can use the chat function to communicate with other connected players.

IP

This IP address is the one that remote players will need to use to connect to your game.  Note: If you are behind a firewall or other Network Address Translating (NAT) device, you will need to have a public IP address for others outside your network to be able to connect to your game.

Status

The status display will update with any changes in the status of the game, including players connecting and disconnecting.

Exit Game

Selecting “Exit Game” will abort this network game and return you to the main menu.  All connected players will be disconnected.

Begin Game

Once all of the players have connected, the “host” player (the person starting the game) can select “begin game” to start the contest!  If you have not selected “Random Starting Player” then you will be prompted to select the starting player. 

Chat Log

Use the chat to communicate between players while waiting for the game to start.

Chat Text

Enter a message to send to the other connected players.

Send

Send your chat message to all connected players.

Player 1 Name

Change your player name.

Your House

Select your player’s house.

Player 2 Name

Displays name of the second player, or “waiting…” if still waiting for a remote player to connect.

Player 2 House

Displays the house of the second player.

Player 3 Name

Displays name of the third player, or “waiting…” if still waiting for a remote player to connect.

Player 3 House

Displays the house of the third player.

Player 4 Name

Displays name of the second player, or “waiting…” if still waiting for a remote player to connect.

Player 4 House

Displays the house of the second player.
