Game Screens - City Configuration

<- Previous Screen | Next Screen ->

(Advanced Game Only) The City Configuration screen is where each player takes turn placing the Buddha, Helmet and Rice pieces to determine the initial contents of city hexes on the game board.   Each players’ turn will be announced to them as it begins, and the computer players will play automatically when their turn begins.

Edo, the capital city, always contains all three piece types and will be configured automatically.  The cities that contain two pieces must be configured before configuring the other cities that contain only one piece type.

Once two of the three piece types have no remaining pieces to place, the game will automatically place the remaining pieces in cities and end the city configuration process.  After you have examined the configuration, and click “Done”, then the main game play will begin with the starting player.

When multiple human players are competing locally on the same computer, a privacy screen will hide this screen in between turns so that players will not be able to see each other’s hands.

On your turn, clicking on the hexes beneath the piece types selects the hex, which you can then drag to the game board to place on a city hex.  If the city hex is can accept the piece you have selected, then it will highlight indicating that It is a valid choice.
