Game Screens - Game Summary

The summary screen displays summary board, which is a “zoomed-out” view of the entire game board with symbolic representation of placed pieces and tiles.  It also displayed status and historical information for you to use in determining and executing your strategies towards playing the game.

Note: You cannot play tiles from your hand to the game board while on the summary screen.

Screen Controls

Description

Captured Pieces

Displays the number of pieces that the current player has captured this game.

Current Player

Displays the name of the current player.

View Board

Switch from the summary view to the detailed board view of the game where you can play tiles from your hand.

Playable Tiles

This is your current hand of playable tiles while on the summary screen your hand is disabled.

End Turn

When you have played one or more tiles on your turn, clicking “End Turn” completes your turn and begins the next players turn.

Go To Declaration

If all pieces have been captured, then no more tiles can be played and the game will declare a winner.  Clicking “Go To Declaration” takes you to the winner declaration screens to see the outcome of the contest.

Tiles Left to Draw

Displays the number of tiles remaining in each player’s pile to be drawn.

Current Player (Lineup)

Displays the turn order for the players by crest with the starting player’s crest coming first.  It also indicates the current player by highlighting that crest.

Piece Swap Tiles Played

Since the piece swap tiles are not played to the board, this control indicates if the piece exchange tile has been played for each player.

Tied Pieces

Displays the number of pieces that had tied influence when a city was captured and therefore were removed from the game.

View Chat

In a network game, click this button to hide the summary status displays and show the chat area in order to communicate with other network players.

Chat Log

Use the chat to communicate between players while selecting hands.

Chat Text

Enter a message to send to the other connected players.

Send

Send your chat message to all connected players.

View Status

Click this button to hide the chat area and show the summary status.

Turn History

This control displays descriptions of all of the turns that have occurred since the player’s last turn, including tile placements any pieces captured.  Clicking on the “Show Me” button in one of the records will update the summary board to events in the turn.

Played Tiles

Shows all twenty tiles that are available to you during the course a game, highlighting the ones that have already been played.  Tiles that are currently in your hand are not highlighted.

Game Board

Shows a “zoomed-out” view of the entire game board with symbolic representation of placed pieces and tiles.  Initially this board will display the current state of the game; however, if you select the “show me” option in one of the turn history records, the board will change to display highlight the moves indicated on the turn.
